I have purchased two ado 20 bikes, one with the F+ model and the other with the city model. To get to my home, I have to travel a long dirt road (I am a farmer and I live on a farm). Even the model with narrow wheels performs excellently thanks to its great tread and the Fat model can handle mud and even light ice. There is sufficient power to tackle even serious hills (while pedaling) and the user-friendly control unit can be customized as desired, including settings for off-road use only. For the price paid, I have acquired an excellent product that I recommend for both commuting and recreational purposes.

How do I unlock my ADO A20F?
On the ADO A20 the speed can be unlocked by these simple steps,
Disclaimer : please do note, unlocking the speed will void your warranty. and may breach UK E-bike regulation, as E-bike speeds are restricted in order to meet EU regulation.- Turn on your your E-bikes LCD monitor the screen by pressing the power button until the screen lights up.
- Then enter the P01 interface you can do this by pressing the “-” and “+” buttons until the screen shows P01.
- Then enter the P08 interface you can do this by pressing the power button multiple times until the number P08 appears. You will see that the max speed is currently set to 25 km/h.
- then set your new maximum speed by using the “-” and “+” buttons, to edit the number “0025” at the bottom. Keep clicking “-” until the number turns to “0000” and then click “-” one more time to set the number to “0100”, which is the highest possible speed.
- Save the setting by pressing the “-” and “+” buttons at the same time until the screen returns to the original interface.
- Test whether the setting was successful by turning the screen off and on again. If you can reach a speed higher than 25 km/h, then the speed limit has been successfully unlocked.

The short answer is Yes, the ADO A20 + is legal in the UK and here is why.
For electric bikes to be legal in the UK they must meet certain criteria. According to UK law, electric bikes are classified as either pedelecs or e-bikes.Pedelecs are electric bikes that are powered by a motor that only provides assistance when the rider is pedaling. These types of E-bikes are limited to a maximum power output of 250 watts and a maximum assisted speed of 15.5 mph which is 2KM/h . E-bikes that meet this criteria are considered legal in the UK and do not require any special license or insurance.
E-bikes which do not meet these requirements, such as throttle only electric bikes, or those who go above the recommended restricted speed are considered illegal to use on public roads in the UK and are only allowed on private land with the landowner’s permission.

There are a few differences between the Two models, on main difference is that the ADO A20 is the Fat tyre version of the Ado A20. this does also mean that the ADO A20 F + has a additional weight because of this, Weighing in at 29kg, while the Ado A20 + has a weight of 21kg.
Another difference is the type of disc brakes and shock absorption used, the ADO A20F+ has standard disc brakes and a front fork shock absorber, while the ADO A20+ has mechanical disc brakes and a front fork and saddle tube shock absorber.
Another noticeable difference is the charging time difference between the two models the ADO A20F+ takes 6-7 hours to charge, while the ADO A20+ takes 4-6 hours to charge.
