General questions about EMOTIS E-bikes and E-skateboards

Yes! Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular. Global sales accelerated in 2020, especially within Europe and are currently growing 23% per year. The electric vehicle market is estimated to grow from 3.7 million bikes sold in 2019 to 17 million in 2030.

There are many benefits to investing in a micro mobility electric vehicle! E-bikes, E-skateboards, and E-scooters are not only eco-friendly solutions to busy congested cities but also provide users a carefree simple way to commute and undertake daily activities. Another big positive to owning an electric vehicle is the money you could save in the long run, less driving means fewer trips to the petrol station.

'And don't we all hate the ques at the petrol station ?' 

 Micro mobility vehicles are ideal for short journeys within 5 miles! As Electric bikes are powered by the electric motor, i.e the battery, doing to the petrol pump will no longer be an issue.   

E-bikes are also excellent for exercise and can support people with riding especially if they are older or have an injury that makes it hard for them to use pedaling alone.

Currently, we are not doing test rides however this is something that we are looking into implementing. Customers do however have a 14 day period in which they are able to cancel a order before or after delivery. 

Of course! All our Electric scooters  are designed to fold and are lightweight which makes them ideal and convenient for travelling and taking onto public transport such as trains and buses. They are also easy to store as they fold away.

Our customer friendly web store allows you to view the products, from all angles, with high quality zoom enabling customer to inspect every inch of their E-bikes, in terms of physical face to face viewings, Currently, are not available however, it is something that we are looking into doing.

We are always looking to improve and cater to everybody’s wants and needs and are open and keen to listen to customer suggestions. Currently, we are working on a few very exciting things such as renting a E-bike. scooters and Skateboards, and sophisticated intelligent helmets and locks to enhance people's safety and travel experience.

We are looking to launch a wide range of sophisticated commuting essential and accessories that make not only make commuting  more simple but also more safe.

As privately owned e-scooters are currently illegal to drive on public roads in the UK, it is not possible to get insurance to use them outside of your home or on private property. For use at home, they may be covered by your standard household insurance. If you are not sure if your insurance cover is valid, check with your insurance company.

A folding E-bike is any partially or fully powered electric bicycle that is designed to fold up into a more compact form, making it easy to transport, store or fit in small confined spaces.

This offers more flexibility in terms of storage and better commuting opportunities for customers, as it allows you to take your electric bike with you on longer distance journeys.

A foldable E-bike can come with you on trams, trains, busses and  even fit in your car boot, and when you reach your final destination you can fold it up and take it with you.

Most e-bikes require pedalling. Although it can vary depending on your ebike model some may offer full throttle or only throttle assist. it is best to read the product description  to see if your E-bike will require peddling.

It is just like riding a normal bike. It comes with the perks of compactness, that allows you to fold it up and take it with you. as you go along your daily commute.  

There are many benefits of riding a E-skateboards and E-scooters. They are a healthy alternative to everyday transportation. They are nature friendly with no emissions. They are a cost-effective option as fuel prices are hiking up these days. They are the transportation medium of the future.

E-skateboards are awesome, not only are some of them small enough to ram into your backpack, they also offer great short distance transportation solutions, they are a fast and safe way to travel and to make it even better their electric motors takes all the effort of traditional skateboard away, so no more struggling up hills, or picking up your skateboard, just let your Emotis E-skateboard do all the work.

This varies depending on the, model of the E-bike, most notably our Himo C30s mountain bike range can go up to 60 Km on a single charge, which is around 37 miles

This can vary depending on the E-bike model, and the persons cycle speed weather conditions and also terrain, our Himo C30s mountain bike is able to reach speeds of up to 50kmh, which is around 31 mph, so its best to keep that helmet on!

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date of unused products with no visual wear and tear, please ensure if you wish to return that the item is sent back to us within this time frame. We are unable to guarantee a refund of products returned after this period. 

We do offer a warranty on certain products. Get in touch with our support group to know more.

We are currently only accepting card payments.

It usually takes 3-7 working days. although on some product ranges we do offer next day shipping!

We currently offer free shipping on all product ranges.

We currently do not deliver to outside the UK but we do plan to change this very soon. 

Our electric batteries are very safe and robust, please ensure you do not expose them to any extreme temperatures, or submerge them in water.

please ensure that you Charge and store your electric battery indoors  keep your battery between  temperatures of 50 °F - 77 °F /10 °C - 25 °C. Failure to do so may void your warranty, render your battery non-functional, or cause a hazardous situation.

please check specific product descriptions for any maximum weight limits, as this may vary from model to model. Our electric Bikes are built for endurance and can handle extreme loads. 

You can use an electric bike without power the same way you would use traditional Ebike.

No, it doesn’t. You might need to do some light assembling of the electric bike yourself but don’t worry, we will send it with instructions on how to assemble your e-bike.

Yes, an electric bike can tow a buggy. Whether it's a cargo buffy, child trailer, or pet trailer, an electric bike is well designed to pull one. With the power of an electric motor, the electric bike makes towing the buggy much easier and more effortless for the rider.

Although the motor and battery are nicely sealed, it isn’t a good option to ride an electric bike during a  extreme weather conditions, though normal weather conditions should pose no problems.

You can do some light maintenance yourself. Like lubricating the chains and keeping the tyres inflated. If you have any issues with any of our products please contacts us as all our products come with warranty.

Don’t panic if that ever happens. E-bikes are just like traditional bikes. So keep on pedalling.

Please ensure you remove the battery before attempting to clean your E-bike or E-skateboard, if it is possible to do so, if not simply give it a simple wipe down, as you would a traditional bike. Don’t use a excessive amount of water. Just a simple sponge with any cleaning solution will do. Keep the chains lubricated. Don’t use pressure washers on your e-bike as it could damage your parts and void warranty.

Our Ebike- batteries are water resistant and weatherproof  If possible, try not to completely submerge your e-Bike, in water as this may void warranty and cause battery failure.

Depending on if you are using a electric bike, E-skateboard or E-scooter, you may need to remove the battery before charging, although some Ebikes, models do not have removable batteries and buts be plugged in directly from the E-bikes charging port. please refer to the manual on how best to charge your Electric Micromobility vehicle

About 3600 km on a full charge with relaxed pedalling. In some cases, they go even further. We have bikes that can travel 130 miles on a single charge. The range is also influenced by battery capacity, hill, wind and size. Many e-bikes pedal easily like normal bicycles. You can increase your range even further by using little or no electricity on level ground and downhill.

Yes, just pedal like you would in a traditional bike. But don’t make it a habit of not charging your bike.

It depends on the type and model of the e-bike. Some e-bikes do charge while pedalling or extend the charging life.

Don’t leave your battery uncharged for a longer period of time and try not to overcharge your battery ether.

It is currently against the law to drive electric scooters on public highways or pavements in the UK.

It is legal to ride e-bikes in the UK but road safety rules and regulations must be followed closely.
